Privacy Policy

Lx1go mobile application

This privacy policy describes how the Lx1go mobile application ("the app"), developed by OCOM PTY LTD ("we", "us", "our"), handles your information. We built Lx1go to be a reliable, offline-first tool for theatre stage managers, and your data staying under your control is central to that design.

1. Data that stays on your device

All of the content you create in Lx1go — shows, cue sheets, annotations, drawings, scene photos, tasks and settings — is stored locally on your device in the app's documents directory. None of this data is transmitted to us or to any third party.

Backups and exported .lx1 files are created locally. Sharing a backup is always an action you initiate (for example, via Android's share sheet or a file manager).

2. Camera

The app requests camera permission so you can take scene photos directly from the edit screen. Photos are saved into the show's local storage on your device. The camera is never activated without your explicit action, and photos are never uploaded or transmitted by the app.

3. On-device text recognition (OCR)

Lx1go uses Google ML Kit's on-device text recognition to extract text from imported PDF pages. All processing happens locally on your device — no images or text are sent to Google or any external service.

4. Internet access

The app requests the INTERNET permission for the following purposes only:

  • Update checks — the app periodically checks for new versions from our private release server. This request includes no personal data; only your app's current version number is compared against the latest available release.
  • Crew Link (show mode) — when you start a Crew Link session, the app runs a local network server so other devices on the same Wi-Fi network can follow your cues in real time. This communication stays on your local network and does not pass through any external server.

The app does not include any analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. We do not collect usage data, device identifiers, or telemetry of any kind.

5. Crash logs

If the app encounters an error, a log entry is written to a local file on your device (error_log.txt). This file is never transmitted automatically. You may choose to include it when contacting us for support, but that is entirely at your discretion.

6. Website contact form

If you contact us through the form on lx1go.com/contact, we collect the information you provide (name, email address, company name, subject and message). This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not share it with third parties or use it for marketing purposes.

7. Children's privacy

Lx1go is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app stores all data locally and includes no account system or data collection, there is no mechanism through which such information could be gathered.

8. Third-party services

The app does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising or data-collection services. The only external communication is the version-check request described in section 4.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
